Platinum and palladium the stepkids of precious metals?
According to Mike Maloney, Peter Schiff, Lynette Zang, and a whole host of others platinum and palladium is just an industrial metal. I'm not disagreeing with them about the primary purpose of platinum group metals.
What I'm saying is let's not forget that all precious metals are the original decentralized assets. Platinum and palladium carry many of the good attributes we have come to love in the monetary metals
The attributes you want in money are:
Portable
Durability
Interchangeable
Divisible
A store of value
Since platinum and palladium are outside the central banking system nonsense you are going to be in much better shape than staying attached to a debt-based fiat currency.
